  • 4 (1.55 oz each) dark chocolate candy bars
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Thaw puff pastry according to package instructions and roll out gently on a floured surface.
  4. Cut the dough into rectangles (approximately 4×6 inches).
  5. Place one piece of chocolate near one edge of each rectangle.
  6. Roll up each rectangle from the chocolate edge to seal.
  7. Mix the egg and water to create an egg wash; brush over each croissant.
  8. Bake for around 15 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
