  • 450g all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and cubed butter. Work with your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Stir in sugar.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Gradually add to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. If sticky, add a little more flour.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 2cm thick and cut into circles using a cookie cutter.
  6. Place on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
