Ingredients

Scale
  • 14.5 tbsp salted butter
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 35 pieces soft caramels

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 365°F (185°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter and whisk in both sugars until well combined. Add vanilla and eggs, mixing until smooth.
  3. Stir in the dry ingredients until a dough forms, then fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Chill the dough for 20 minutes before forming into balls (about 90 grams each). Flatten each ball, place a caramel candy inside, and wrap the dough around it.
  5. Top with sliced caramels and extra chocolate chips before baking for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
