  • 2 tablespoons culinary matcha powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 â…“ cups milk
  • 2 â…“ cups mochiko (sweet rice flour)
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons fine sea salt
  • For the ganache: 6 ounces white chocolate chips, ¼ cup heavy cream, 1 tablespoon culinary matcha powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs, matcha powder, vanilla extract, and milk; mix until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, combine mochiko and sea salt. Gradually add to wet mixture while stirring until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. For the ganache: Heat cream until simmering; remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until melted. Mix in matcha powder.
  6. Once brownies are cool, cut into squares and drizzle with matcha ganache before serving.
