  • 1/2 cup gluten-free quick oats
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup dairy-free/vegan butter, diced into small cubes and softened
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons melted dairy-free/vegan butter
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease an 8" x 8" baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, combine the topping ingredients (flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter). Mix until crumbly and refrigerate.
  3. In another bowl, mix the chopped apples with lemon juice, dairy-free milk, vanilla extract, brown sugar, gluten-free flour, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Spread the apple mixture in the baking dish and top it with the crumble mixture evenly.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Allow cooling for about 5-10 minutes before serving.
