  • 46 medium croissants
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Tear the croissants into chunks and layer half in the baking dish, followed by half of the chocolate chips.
  3. Add the remaining croissant pieces and top with the rest of the chocolate chips.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Pour the custard mixture over the croissants, pressing gently to soak them. Let rest for 15-30 minutes.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
