  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 13 tbs whole milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cherry Filling: In a saucepan, mix frozen cherries, sugar, cold water, and cornstarch. Simmer until thickened, then cool.
  2. Make Dough: Combine warm water and yeast; let foam. Add milk, sugar, eggs, and salt. Gradually stir in bread flour until soft dough forms. Knead in butter.
  3. Let Rise: Place dough in a greased bowl covered with plastic wrap; let rise for about 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Roll Out: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out dough into a rectangle and spread cherry filling evenly.
  5. Shape Rolls: Roll tightly into a log and cut into 12 pieces.
  6. Bake: Arrange rolls in a greased dish, cover, and rise for another 30 minutes. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Make Frosting: Beat butter and cream cheese; add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Adjust consistency with milk.
