  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • For the glaze: 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together gluten-free flour, sugar, instant dry yeast, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, combine warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Pour into the dry ingredients and stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise in a warm location for about 30 minutes until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough to about ½ inch thick on a floured surface. Cut into donut shapes using a donut cutter.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Brush each donut with melted butter before placing them in the basket.
  6. Cook donuts in batches for about 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. For the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth; dip each donut in the glaze before serving.
