  • 1½ lb Brussels sprouts (trimmed and halved)
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 4 strips turkey bacon (diced)
  • ½ cup pecans (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • Ground pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Blanch the Brussels sprouts in salted boiling water for 4–5 minutes until tender yet bright green. Drain and cool.
  2. In a skillet, cook diced turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high, add blanched Brussels sprouts and pecans to the skillet. Sauté for about 4–5 minutes until crisp.
  4. Stir in ground mustard and deglaze with apple cider vinegar for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Return turkey bacon to the skillet, add maple syrup, toss well, and cook for an additional minute before serving.
